Started by Michelle Sanchez , author of A Marine & His Two Ladies - About 11/10/2011 9:03:24 PM

I wanted to start this post so we could pass around "frugal" holiday ideas for people trying to cut down on costs.

I know this won't help for this year, but go to after Christmas sales this year to buy on clearance for next year. Hope that helps:) anne

I entered lots of low entry giveaways and was able to win some gift cards that took care of stocking stuffers

After Christmas, I cut up the cards into small pieces, fold them in half, punch a hole in the corner, add yarn and use them as gift tags the following year.

I make a lot of things, i.e. knitting, jam, soap, and give as gifts.  I am also accumulating gifts from giveaways

I use coupons a lot to buy stuff for my family. I also cook at home a lot- it saves us a lot of money than going out to eat like we used to! And I started entering blog giveaways too. Happy holidays!
