Creation Facts of Life has been in print since 1980 by Master Books and is a good resource for any home or homeschool. The book is not one you will use with younger students, however a student in middle or high school can gain a great deal of knowledge from it's text.

I would also recommend the book to any homeschooling parent that wants to learn more about defending the truth of creation.

Pros: The author walks the reader through the facts from a point of view of someone that once believed in the theory of evolution and came to find that truth could only be explained through creation.

Cons: The ebook is all black and white (including its illustrations) and is somewhat technical at times in its explanations.

	Preview this wonderful free ebook

Looking for a Science text that will challenge and inspire your children to seek truth? A text that your children will want to read, even after the school day is over? Evolution: The Grand Experiment by Dr. Carl Werner is it. What first began as a personal investigation for truth surrounding the theory of evolution, eventually became a quest to educate and challenge others to ask the same tough questions. Dr. Werner and his wife Debbie spent over a decade traveling around the world in search for answers. Evolution: The Grand Experimentis a culmination of what they found.

As a Christian mother, an educator and homeschooler, I recommend this text for every family. Why? It will not only catch the eye and interest of your youngest children but it will challenge your older children to ask tough questions and demand the truth. This Science text will undoubtedly lead to many discussions within your entire family and inspire your children to think scientifically about evolution.

	Preview: See inside the book!

Dr. Werner presents each topic in a very clear, concise manner and the text is filled with beautiful photos and easy to understand illustrations and explanations. It will draw your children into their own quest for answers. In fact, the text is so inviting and the photos
so stunning, you may want to keep it on display in your home! To find out more, click each image below:

	Hello Barb,

Just in time for hot summer weekends and family BBQ’s, we wanted to send along a delicious ceviche recipe from Michelin-starred Chef Jeremy Bearman of New York City’s Rouge Tomate restaurant.

Top Chef Bearman and Michelin put together a short demo preparing the ceviche of local fish with tropical fruits and kaffir lime infused sunflower oil and I thought your readers might be interested in making it for a summer cook-out family BBQ. They can download the recipe from the YouTube link.

Cool and different and natural! Would you be able to post the link on your blog?

A parent or teacher can assign a child handwriting practice by creating assignments around non-sense text or provide a child with text that will enrich a child's life.

As a parent and a teacher, I wanted to give my child handwriting assignments that had eternal possibilities. Thus, I decided to use Scripture as the basis for handwriting assignments. As a result, Handwriting through Proverbs was born.Every day, I would assign verses to be copied for handwriting practice. We would read the verse(s) assigned together, the assignment would be completed and then we would reread and discuss each verse. Now, I have decided to share a product that I've created for parents and teachers to use with the
	children in their lives.

	Preview before you download

This free download is Handwriting through Proverbs Chapter 1. In the download, you will find two levels of handwriting assignments. The first for younger students and the second for more experienced students.

	Preview before you download

Handwriting through Proverbs does not contain trace work. All assignments are for students ready for direct copy work. However, if the demand is high for trace work, I would be happy to create a free download for that as well.

This free download is 48 pages, so be sure to preview it! Ready to download? Click here to go to the download page.

All of the previous 'Treasures from the Past' have been Language Arts books from the past. Today's treasure is different. It is The Arithmetic Primer and was published in 1901. The complete treasure is a free download of over 100 pages.

Here is how the author describes the book:
	The Plan of the Book
The Primer of Arithmetic is not made up mainly of graded miscellaneous problems. It is built on a plan. Each four-page group constitutes the larger unit of the plan. Twenty-seven presentations of this gradually changing unit make up the book. In the first eleven groups (44pages) the page units are as follows:

1st page – New number facts
2nd page – Number facts applied to linear measurements
3rd page – Number facts applied to surface measurements
4th page – The “Elementary Spiral” (a problem in each of the five fundamental processes), followed by miscellaneous problems
In the remainder of the book, the 1st and 4th pages of each group are similar to the corresponding pages of the first eleven groups. The 2nd page teaches the application of primary facts to the larger numbers. The 3rd page deals with solid, surface, linear, and capacity measurements.

Frank Hall published this treasure for students in the first two years of school. The book begins with a three chapter introduction. In the introduction, Hall gives detailed suggestions and explanations to teachers and parents on math education of children in these first two years. Personally, I love the suggestions that Hall gives on 'how' to incorporate math throughout daily life.

The entire download is over 100 pages, so you may want to preview it before you download it. Ready to download? Click here to go to the download page.
