Are you happy with your weight?

Started by Jen , author of A Time of Life 9/5/2010 10:45:15 AM

I was always very skinny. After menopause I went to a medium size. But, after stopping smoking  put on enough weight that my clothes do not fit and my stomach is all flabby.

So my answer would be no, I'm not

Heck no, I'm not!  However, I can't seem to muster up the motivation to do anything about it right now.

Yes, I am. I've gained 10 lbs of solid muscle in the past year while dropping 7% body fat. And I still want to be a lb heavier, to be on par with Jamie Eason. I'd love to gain it all in my arms!

I'm not, but I've had three babies in 4 years. I've carried three big, healthy baby boys to full term and had 3 c-sections. So, my body, and particularly my abdominals have been completely destroyed.

I have gone back to the gym and I am working out regularly. While I am not losing weight, I am getting stronger.

So when I go get a tummy tuck someday, I can honestly say that I've done everything within my power to lose the tummy ;)

I am happy. My body is not what is was when I was 21 but I am 16 years older and now have two beautiful children. They keep me young. I am at a great weight for my size but would not mind gaining a little muscle. Plan on running a 5k next month and maybe starting a regular walking program for the winter. It is all about keeping moving! I just want my daughters to be happy with their beautiful bodies so I do not talk negatively about mine around them.

Nope. I just went back on my low carb food plan yesterday. It is not only my weight but the way I feel. It is the only way I have ever lost any weight that makes me not be starving. You can eat and not feel deprived. Anyway since I started having these knee problems I started putting on more weight and being only 5'2" ten pounds looks like thirty on me. So back to chair dancing, low carbs and FitDay. I was always a race walker and worked out with weights a lot.So I need to feel good again.

I'm in a constant battle with my weight...Uuugh

Age & quitting smoking has had it's tole on me!

I had gotten to a place, where I kind of gave up. Then, when I started having trouble reaching down to tie my shoes and other "easy" daily tasks, I got TOTALLY disgusted with myself.

I finally started instituting moderate exercise and very sensible eating along with an inch-loss program, and I am on my way back to a body with curves, instead of one big BLOB....LOL !!

For those who are discouraged, don't worry. Once, you reach your tipping point, you'll dig your heels in and take it off!

No, I really need to lose weight.  I'm working on it, slowly, but seem to bounce up and down over a period of months.
