What are your fall action items?

Started by Gig Girl , author of The Gig Girl — One family's leap of faith 9/8/2011 7:47:23 AM

Did fall sneak up on you like it did to me?  I took me by surprise, but I'm slowly getting back into the swing of things and creating my mom/business list of things to do before the first frost - what's on your fall action item list?

Fall! Yikes, that is when my seasonal job ends, so I clean out all the closets, drawers, and cubby holes in my RV to get ready to drive from Arizona back to Georgia. I call it fall cleaning, but hubby calls it getting rid of excess weight for towing the trailer. Whatever it is, it takes me a couple of weeks to get things done.

I clean out and rearrange and redecorate, getting ready for holidays. Then when the weathers finally cooler clean my garage out and mulch the yard and pot fall foliage...

Can I cop-out and say that my action plan it to make an action plan??

LOL - works for me Heather! Chery and Karen I'm with you both on all the rearranging and reorganizing...something about September just screams for it!

Fall is a busy harvesting and canning month for me. Then it is time to put our garden to bed for the winter. And get one ready for the winter garden.

How long have you been living full time in an RV?

What do you miss about not living full time in an RV?

What is the best thing about living full time in an RV?

My husband and I have been full time RV-ers for 11 years. What I miss most is not being able to have a garden. The best thing about living in an RV is that is you don't like your neighbors, you can move. And that I get to live in beautiful places like the Grand Canyon National Park. Grand Canyon has been my home for the last 4 summers, and I really love it.

My husband and I are going to look for a house, though, this winter, so that we will have a place to live when we get ready to retire. It doesn't necessarily mean we are going to stop RVing, just that we are planning ahead for a new phase of our lives.

Heather - that's sort of my plan too!  Get back to doing more biz related stuff! But the summer is SOO fun! Miss my son home!
