Thanks for the reply, Bev.  This is SO much harded than I thought.  My son didn't want me to make the move until he was able to get some quesitons answered.  So now I read, read, read, and wait.

Nope. I have using Wordpress software that I host myself. And all the rest on blogger for now. When I change them though, I don't think I will use the Wordpress software for them.

I haven't gone to Wordpress itself for quite a few years, I'm on WP now probably much like Kat. 

I also found it hard at firest but now, since I've been willing to accept WP template, it's getting much easier.

I hope you get some questions answered.

Hey Y'all!  I have read a lot of comments about people moving to Word Press since I've been blogging and they've ALL had problems.  I think I wold stick to blogger.   I would imagine all software has their problems.I'm on blogger, but I have quite a few "followers on WP.  I don't like it because I have to search and search to be able to leave a comment.  They have a "leave a comment" sentence in with a bunch of other stuff.  I've seen some beautiful WP blogs, They just seem more difficult.

Nope ~ I am 'going to dance with the guy that brung me' as it is the 'devil I know' and I can handle this ~ I tried the other and it was not to my liking ~ Trying to 'simplify my life.' ~ enjoy the day ~ ^_^

I went back and forth between Blogger and Wordpress and I ultimately chose to stay with Blogger. It's more user friendly and had more options for me that worked for what I wanted. :)

There is plenty you have to take under consideration before the move. Hosting, learning new system, widgets, design, html,....blah blah.

I moved from blogger to WordPress five years ago and never looked back

I think I'm with Carol in the 'if it ain't broke don't fix it' department.

It seems to me that people can do some wonderful things with wordpress, but it's like anything else: don't pay for extras if what you have is well suited to your needs!

Here's a for instance: we just got Martin an inexpensive laptop for his trip.  Got it home only to find that it doesn't have MS Office.  Then I thought: wait a sec, he doesn't acutally *need* Office on this, we'd just be buying it out of habit.
