What Is Your Homepage?

Started by katlupe , author of Homesteading On The Internet 4/26/2011 2:27:00 PM

Since having SO much trouble with browsers, I keep changing them and changing the homepage. What page is your homepage? And why do you choose that for your homepage?

AOL is my home page on my home computer.  It's my main email address.

At work, my home page is our business website.

Kat, which version of Firefox have you been using?  I had no trouble with Firefox until I upgraded to the new Beta version 4.  Now it's really, really slow.  If undoing it weren't so much trouble, I'd revert back.

I use Google as my Homepage. My son, the computer whiz, suggested this. He said my other one was bogging my computer down because it took so long to load. (It was a investment forum, so there was lots of info on the page)

Hi Annie, my son is a computer geek too.  He says the same about Google.

I took a look at that as I like to save energy. But I can't take the black page. My computer is energy efficient and doesn't use much power about 4.5 amps. Just that page was so black.........

I use http://www.blackle.com/ it's set up kinda like google and it uses the google search engine, but it has a black background that saves energy and is supposed to help reduce your computer carbon footprint.

I know absolutely nothing about Macs. Except that artists usually like them! You don't have to use a browser? So what do you do? Does it have windows?

I probably had the newest one. I uninstalled it so I can't check. It was horrible! Hubby uses it so I thought I'd like it. It would shut down all the time in the middle of important stuff.

I used to set it to my iGoogle account page (which allows you to customize your gadgets, view your horoschope, news updates, FB Updates, Gmail Inbox, Movie Listings, etc. all in one glance) until I started back up with online classes.  Now my homepage is set to my school log-in page.
