Banning a Member! Please Help!

Started by liz , author of a belle, a bean & a chicago dog 3/10/2010 12:58:04 PM
I have noticed this creepy guy - Sauravks.  He's in my community as well as others.  He posts links to "hot girls" wearing bikinis.  It doesn't seem like the ability to ban a person is fully working.  I click on "Manage Members" and only 2 people show up, even though I have a larger community.  I've emailed BF twice, but no response.  Somebody please help!!!

Go to wherever he posted last, and under his picture there should be a little x that says "ban member" or something like that if you scroll over it. Click that and he will be gone!

I had to ban the same creeper just a few days ago! :)

I'm trying, I'm trying!  I clicked on the 5 most recent posts by him - through his page - (all were dated 2 days ago), and his posting is no longer there.  Frustrated!  BF either needs to get rid of him so he doesn't show up anywhere, or enable each member to easily ban a user.

Thanks for your tip, SIF!

Hi Liz,

I am so sorry about this.  Our customer service team has been way behind.

The spammer has been banned.  Right now we are making it super easy to ban someone from your community - you will just "block" them from your followers.  We're also taking precautions to stop spammers before they can even start.

Thanks, and sorry again about this.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, Rustin!!  I'm so appreciative!

Hi Liz,
